CHAMPION SHIFT DEMO STEAM DECK REVIEW

I was given a code from PR Company Press Engine @press_engine I played on my Steam Deck.

Publisher, Developer SRG Studios @Champion_Shift As of now no official release date other than Q4 2023 and no price aswell.

INTRODUCTION

Fight, Shift, Survive in a unique action roguelike where champions fight endless hordes of enemies to defeat the dominion and those who control it.

FEATURES FROM DEMO

• Play as Sun Wukong who is a iconic legendary Hero.
• Simple controls with default auto attacks and option to manually aim.
• Survive challenging and rewarding enemy encounters to test your playstyle.
• Shift between Vehicle and Hero with own playstyles.
• Complete missions in branching path stages on the way to boss fights.

PROS

Character that you play as is cool and detailed with own stats.

Enemies are cool as all have own attacks to learn to avoid and all have own look to make them unique.

Easy to pick up and easy controls to learn and play for everyone.

Perks are numerous and all are cool as have own stats and own feel to them and can be upgraded to suit own playstyle.

Fast paced combat is fun and enjoyable.

Love being able to transform into a car as changes movement and has own attacks and is very cool and retro transforming into a vehicle then back to a hero.

CONS

Seems to have slow down or issues with frame rate on the steam deck.

Only one level and only one character as is a Demo which gives you not alot of replay ability.

OVERALL SUMMARY

As is a demo no actual score But overall Demo gives alot of cool ideas to genre and makes me excited and hopeful for the full release. Hopefully slow down and frame rate issue will be fixed for the Steam Deck.
