Can be confusing trying find stuff would of loved a hint system show my area as sometimes was just clicking and hoping.

Overall the art style is nice and detailed, controls are easy to pick up and play with a very chilled game with no time pressure or fail conditions and levels all have own look and own vibe to them and levels don’t get to complex as in objects aren’t hidden inside of stuff. However for £9.99, No reason to replay the levels after you finish them and no story made it feel connected with the levels and can be confusing trying to find stuff.

Overall story is fun and the skills you can pick to make own build are cool and the weapons all have own stats and look, feel with nice difficulty options and controls easy learn and pick up with characters you meet all have own look and personality to them. However for £24.99, Combat is clunky as combos leave you exposed to take hits and even on easy setting is very easy to die and movement is clunky especially for jumping to platforms and not as smooth as hoped for.

Can be difficult as even on easy with all the accessibility features on is still challenging easy not get first or easy get penalties.

No character creation for story mode made it hard to pick person and made me not care about who was using for story mode.

Handling is arcade like and kinda stiff and not as smooth as was hoping for.

Combat is fun and fast paced and even has active events such as the battlefield being attacked with mortars forcing you to move units around and more.

Controls are easy to learn and very responsive which is nice.

Can be easy to get mobbed by enemies and die which fails the runs.

OVERALL SUMMARY

Overall can be easy to get mobbed by enemies and fail runs. However for £15.99, story is fun, enemies own look, attacks to learn but always shows on the screen which units are strong and weak to and the mechs you use all have own look and own stats to them and all have own feel to them and own specials and the characters you meet all have own personality to them and choices on items that you pick up can help run and help make builds for the run and parts and upgrades all have own look, uses to make own build and can swap parts around to suit your style and combat is fun and fast paced and the controls are easy pick and responsive and so much more in the game. LOVED THE GAME.

INTRODUCTION

OTHERWAR is an surprising mash-up of Tower Defense & Bullet Hell games. Build and manage fortifications to defend the Gate of Heaven against the Hordes of Hell, while soaring over the battlefields as the defender Angel, and meet the monsters in direct combat!

FEATURES

• BANISH THE HELLSPAWN. Embody the role of the defender angel who has been called forth to stem the tide of an encroaching hell horde. It falls upon your halo to plan out the defenses, however your adversaries shall not stand idly as they will blot out the sun with fire just to clip your wings. Yet, you are not defenseless as the angel can smite enemies on his own if need be.
• BRAVE THE BULLET HELL. Unlike other Tower Defense games, Otherwar’s cast of enemies will keep you on your toes as almost every enemy fires a different kind of projectile. From the ever-following eyeballs to slowly approaching wide spider webs and patterns of swirling leaves cast by undead treants. Amidst the chaos of battle, you will also have to be on the look-out for certain enemies such as necromancers, who, if allowed to linger for too long, will raise skeletons from the dead that may overwhelm your defenses.
• BUILD THE TOWER DEFENSE. Before each mission you will have a chance to select towers and skills that will aid you in battle. From straight-forward offensive towers to more situational constructs such as slowing fields that will bog down approaching enemies or emplacements that shoot down incoming projectiles. Besides structures, the angel can also upgrade his own skills during the battle and acquire new abilities between missions. Making each of the 9 levels a puzzle for you to solve.

Difficulty options are nice and easy to understand.

Upgrades are cool as can make own build to suit own playstyle.

Choices for upgrades when you level up during runs are cool and all have own uses.

Controls are easy to learn and easy to understand.

Challenging game as easy to fail even on easy setting.

Can be awkward trying place turrets so in effective range as easy put in wrong spot.

Story didn’t make me feel connected with the character or the world.

No reason to replay levels unless you are trying to get max stars on levels.

OVERALL SUMMARY

Overall the enemies are cool and all have own look and attacks to learn and difficulty is easy to understand and upgrades make own build is nice and choices when you level up help runs and has nice controls that are easy to learn. However for £4.99, challenging and easy to fail even on easy setting and can be awkward to place turrets in effective position and the story didn’t make me feel connected with the character or the world and no reason to replay the levels unless you are trying to get max stars or change difficulty.
