Alot of options regarding difficulty such as injury,ironman and easy normal hard settings all this helps alot as you can pick and choose and helps you alter game to your playstyle.

Graphics are very awesome the world has a dark gritty feel to it which helps give the world a lived in feel.

40 different weapons they all look,act very different gives you slot options and as each character can have 2 guns this means you can have alot choice as there close,short,medium,long types of weapons great freedom for making all characters into individual types.

Has a addictiveness gameplay style as made me want carry on playing and even try for bonus objectives as gave great rewards such as money,foods,weapons but if you didnt get them doesn’t affect game to much.

Alot of content in game as you value for money there is alot replayability here.

Story kept me interested from start to finish as loved that their is alot of scenarios and even on easy setting was good couple hours alot of options that gave me some times wishing had picked different options.

The multiple choice system is great gives you multiple replay options then left me curious to what if i picked that or regretted picking some as loved that you can get bonuses and also negative effects from your choices.

Card system helps you build characters how you want it was great as gives you bonuses for pairs like in poker.

CONS

Had a issue where my health,luck,ammo hud would disappear then re – appear found this annoying.

Camera was fiddly no direct control and sometimes be in awkward place.

OVERALL SUMMARY

I GIVE THIS GAME A SCORE OF 8.5/10

Has a few issues may irritate but persevere as the game is very fun and rewarding and good value for the price.

I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS AS GUN AND ALOT OF CONTENT AND OPTIONS FOR THE PRICE.

Love that the character is voiced by RON PERLMAN suits character perfectly and made me warm to him.

The world has a very dark,eerie,feel that makes the world alive and interesting also does give a sense of anticipation as never know what in each room. The way story told is awesome as keeps you hooked.

Tactical cover usage is awesome as you can dive and jump over to get in cover and really cool is that while in cover you can be safe from damage and be safe to shoot enemy’s.

The cover you use is destructible so you cannot rely on it to protect yourself. Helps stop you just staying hidden and shooting them in safety.

Love how the game has procedurally generated levels and all enemies,weapons,pick ups are all totally random all helps keep game to feel fresh.

Alot of different weapons and all are unique in both look,feel,usage in combat that can massively change each run and the way you play with them forces you to adapt until you can change them.

The gameplay is very addictive as even you die which you will as game pulls no punches from the start the game will make you want try another run as never know what you find.

There are 9 areas some require tactics such perfect roll to overcome environmental hazards that could cause damage to health.

The bosses are all unique and have their own attacks,movement and strategies to defeat them which helps keep you on your toes.

CONS

The camera can be a bit annoying as no direct control sometimes camera in awkward place like climbing ladder sometimes leaves you bit exposed while camera asjusts.

OVERALL SUMMARY

I GIVE THIS GAME A SCORE OF 9.5/10

This is definitely worth it if you have gamepass then try it if not you get alot of content for your money.

Story is very interesting and kept me hooked throughout was very different than expected but in good way.

World felt alive, was very vibrant loved the difference in feelings I got from different areas in the game which helped me stop getting bored.

Combat was fun one minute you throwing rubbish next is some sort of rhythm boss battle very cool quirky.

Music was cool goes from techno music during boss fights which builds tension for the fight to eerie silence and sort of a horror like keeping tension.

I loved the choices that help shape the game to be unique to each player by answering questions about yourself to help give you your powers,companions that all something unique to each player.

It is a very original game liked how different this was to any game played before was very refreshing.

CONS

Story and world did sometimes leave me confused and not knowing where to go or what to do would of preferred a tracker or something like a way point system.

The originality may put some people off as very daunting as alot going on was kinda confused sometimes which may put some people off.

Combat takes a while to understand as alot of enemies require either charging up debris or shielding during attacks to return ranged attacks before you can melee them.

Very wierd game may put some people off as maybe to odd for alot of people as deals with alot of mental issues which some may not like.

OVERALL SUMMARY

I GIVE THIS GAME A SCORE OF 6.5/10

Overall is fun and different but may put people off as very daunting and deals with alot of mental health issues but is a fun game that is enjoyable.

Graphics are very cool retro look reminds me of Duke Nukem,Doom and art style very nostalgic on the enemies and world.

There alot of content for your money 60 levels split into 5 unique areas all with their own look and enemy types EGYPT,GRAVEYARDS,ANTARCTIC BASE,MEDIEVAL CASTLES,HELL.

Gun customisation is awesome there is 38 weapon types and all guns have two different upgrades you can only pick one per playthrough.

Alot of options for art style such as visual like a CRT,gameboy filters for the game retro filters and more to show game in style you remember playing games as a kid.

Because weapon choice is permanent keeps game fresh such as starting gun changes to either a flare gun which can burn enemies or a 50 cal magnum which uses 2 bullets per shot but is massively stronger than the default pistol.

Upgrade your hero to your playstyle and bonuses like more health or more mana which used for attacks or one bonus gives u more health from pickups very useful.

Loved the retro gameplay feel and the anticipation of potential new weapons on next level.

Story was interesting kept me entertained throughout loved the way was told after each boss fight ended helped set up next area.

Has loads cool game references which I loved finding throughout whole game.

CONS

Can be hard at start even on easy can be a little repetitive.

OVERALL SUMMARY

I GIVE THIS GAME A SCORE OF 9/10

Overall has old school difficulty as in one life during boss fights but is so fun and enjoyable.

PROS

Graphics are nice pretty very detailed loved art style for both the world and characters as really like the dystopian effect the game has.

Characters are very interesting and all are unique in looks and weapons,abilities,playstyle and all have their own story agenda which made them interesting the whole time.

Story is interesting and kept me entertained the whole time as loved reading all the lore found on levels made world feel alive.

Has addictive gameplay as even when failing and characters die kept me waiting try one more time as kept me thinking different ways to complete each fight.

Combat mechanics are very different and feels fresh as like the cool down of skills and not ever character could use overwatch skill and I liked how your melee characters are strong but limited range.

Management of items to upgrade your characters is cool as often had choose do I upgrade one guy with items to make him stronger or spread items between group to change abilities such as make grenade character can either heal himself and team or have extra attack where throws 2 grenades at once.

CONS

Found the frame rate choppy when moving camera which was surprising as was running on xbox one x.

Difficulty for new players can be hard even on the easy the setting as until you are further in game you cant revive your fallen teammates which means game over if they die during combat.

Controls are kinda clunky on controller just sense of the combat movement often found myself clicking wrong place or struggling move with camera.

Combat mechanics very different to other games in genre alot of games show where you moving to and you are able to check before moving to that tile but cant in this game. Alot games alot characters are able overwatch on this only some can.

OVERALL SUMMARY

I GIVE THIS GAME A SCORE OF 6.5/10

This game was fun and story very good but has some issues that hurt my enjoyment especially as one in particular happened where my character got stuck and then my game crashed.

I would say wait for sale as has some issues hopefully get fixed later.

Love the graphics style very 90s anime,very nostalgic and great detail on all units helps make them feel unique.

Map editor feature is very cool as make your own map upload them to the world or challenge your mates.

All units are unique in look,abilities which give you alot of variety to the game such as heavy units have massive range but low movement points compared to nimble sword using mechs having alot movement points.

Alot of replay ability as there 4 different campaigns all with different looks abilities and they are all linked together which helps keep continuity of the story

The utilisation of terrain is cool as gives cover and some protection against the different damage types in the game helps keep you alert where your squad is placed.

There are 3 damage types in the game which gives you alot of tactical options. * KINETIC * ENERGY * EXPLOSIVE

Hero units are very strong but all play in their own unique style but make sure not leave them exposed as they seem to be targeted more than other units.

Missions are varied helps stops you getting bored and some have bases you can acquire to call in reinforcements help in difficult situations or just destroy other team also able replay them to receive better scores for those who want perfect everything.

Story is awesome even after you finish the first campaign. I was pleased how smooth the transition between the different campaigns was. It kept me interested from start to finish.

CONS

May put some people off slower pacing than other hex based games but definitely worth persevering.

* All areas are unique offering different enemies and different puzzles such as freezing enemies to make a platform or freeze waterjets make it so you can jump on them all this helps stop the game from getting dull.

* Game has alot of humor which made me laugh and felt more bonded with the characters.

* Feels very different in looks,gameplay very refreshing made me have think outside the box solve puzzles and traverse the world.

* Cooking system good fun as loved the combining items to see what bonuses would get from experimenting with different items.

* Loved the combat as very intriguing and different for using KABBU you hold down on the stick till lights up then release doing more damage makes you more alert during combat and even on normal was a challenge.

* The combat may put some people off as can be hard to learn at start.

* World feels alive with every type of mission from people rescue to fights giving you bit more lore keeping you immersed in world.

* Each of the 5 factions all unique and cool and you choose how interactive you are for example you might meet Slavers selling people you can choose ignore them buy slaves or fight them.

* Alot of weapons,armors,items to try giving you loads of customization options on characters and builds.

* Love that depending on classes you have can affect missions like getting money or better rewards such as have a Deadeye a sniper can scout level maybe find fuel or money or new weapons as a reward for completing mission.

* Game has a very addictive gameplay which had me always wanting to try one more mission to see what cool rewards could get.

CONS

* The fact that alot stuff is randomly generated like map layout interactions weapons squad may put some people off and game can be daunting at start of game.

Overall game has some minor issues like being a bit daunting at start but definitely worth persevering as game is awesome.

PROS

* Music is very cool retro sound like old games grew up with snes era games.

* Storyline is cool tells it in bits and keeps you hooked wanting know next part of the story.

* Graphics are nice has a setting make graphics hi res effect also has a retro pixel look and a CRT filter for nostalgia affect.

* Characters all have different abilities such as defense up buffs, mines and the look of characters all unique and all have different playstyle.

* Lots of weapons to unlock with D-Tokens all have different stats,look very cool.

* All level layouts are procedurally generated which helps keep game refreshing on multiple playthroughs.

* Levels are all timed and you have objectives to complete to progress such as kill all enemy’s,find hidden enemy,blow up all the bombs, all this keeps the pressure on always.

* If you fail complete the objective to get key to unlock door to escape or timer runs out the GRIMREAPER appears to kill you and is immune so not able hurt him.

CONS

* Dont like the timer as makes you rush and you die more as sometimes struggle find objective like kill hidden enemy which might put people off eho like to explore take time.

OVERALL SUMMARY

I GIVE THIS GAME A SCORE OF 8.5/10

Overall the issues not that big just the timer and if you die have replay all levels to try again such as boss fights.

I would recommend this as you get alot of good content for the price.

Definitely try it a rewarding and fun game.

INTRODUCTION

1/ Play alone or grab some friends. 2/ Pick a character and his mutations. 3/ Fight your way out of the mad mansion!. Each of the 12 levels are procedurally generated for more variety and replay value. Hordes of enemies are waiting for you but keep an eye on your environment, its dangerous and will adapt to your progress. Upgrade your hero to build your own gameplay style and combine different weapons create unique playthroughs.

* Vibrant and original hand painted art style.

* Over 75 powerful and crazy weapons all feel unique to one and another.

* 4 Unique characters with special abilities.

* Over 50 mutations to upgrade your hero.

* Lots of enemies to destroy and dangers/traps to avoid.

PROS

* Unique hand drawn art style makes game feel unique and vibrant.

* Over 75 weapons they are all very different and change playthrough and play style such as ice weapons the slow enemies to fire weapons cause burn to machine fire super fast.

* All 4 characters are all unique in terms look,abilities,play style they are all amazing personal fav was devil loved its buffs like more speed and damage if not hit.

* 50 Mutations meaning you can build your hero to make him unique for you as can pick a specific one or none.

* Music is cool and suirs gameplay.

* Lots of enemies and they seem to adapt to you which keeps you on your toes.

* Procedurally generated levels helps keep game fresh as never know what appear on the level e.g. Bank to store the crystal to unlock mutation tier sometimes i found none.

* Bosses and overall game hard and challenging combat even on easy pulls no punches.

CONS

* Difficulty might put some people off as if you die you have to restart run would of loved maybe a after u kill boss can get start from this point.

OVERALL SUMMARY

I GIVE THIS GAME A SCORE OF 8.5/10

Overall this is a challenging game even on easy setting but had me coming back everytime to do one more run.

I would definitely recommend this as very pretty and alot of fun but be ready for a challenge but it is also very rewarding.
